چکیده

The Souss-Massa region in southwestern Morocco is characterized by a semi-arid climate with high variability rainfall. Frequent droughts and flash flood events combined overexploitation of water resources recent decades have had significant impact on the human security economy which mainly based agriculture, tourism fishery. For better management extreme under changing climatic conditions, study was carried out to quantify seasonal annual trends rainfall temperature over past three data from stations. Climatological representative region. Mann-Kendall (MK) non-parametric test Sen’s slope are used estimate monotonic trend magnitude variables, respectively. Statistical analysis series set highlights that occurrence unpredictable irregular both appears negative (downward) for all climatological minimum shows remarkable increasing scale while maximum registers slightly trend. presents some new insights will impacts surface groundwater conditions. results can help prioritize strategies mitigate risk droughts, floods manage sustain dependence agriculture fishery sectors Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091765 Full Text: PDF

Trend analysis of rainfall and temperature data for India

This article aims to review studies pertaining to trends in rainfall, rainy days and temperature over India. Sen’s non-parametric estimator of slope has been frequently used to estimate the magnitude of trend, whose statistical significance was assessed by the Mann–Kendall test. Spatial units for trend analysis vary from station data to sub-division to sub-basin/ river basins. There are differe...

Meteorological uncertainty and rainfall downscaling

We explore the sources of forecast uncertainty in a mixed dynamical-stochastic ensemble prediction chain for small-scale precipitation, suitable for hydrological applications. To this end, we apply the stochastic downscaling method RainFARM to each member of ensemble limitedarea forecasts provided by the COSMO-LEPS system. Aim of the work is to quantitatively compare the relative weights of the...

trend analysis of meteorological and hydrological variables in urmia lake basin by use of non-parametric methods

global warming has brought about changes in meteorological variable time series. these changes, accompanied with serious human intervention in nature, has resulted in hydrological changes. so the effects can be tracked down by the trend of the time series. the purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the monthly and annual trends of temperature, precipitation as well as stream flow time ...

Medical Meteorology;the Relationship between Meteorological Parameters (Humidity, Rainfall, Wind, and Temperature) and Brucellosis in Zanjan Province

Background: Brucellosis (Malta fever) is a major contagious zoonotic disease, with economic and public health importance. Methods: To assess the effect of meteorological (temperature, rainfall, humidity, and wind) and climate parameters on incidence of brucellosis, brucellosis distribution and meteorological zoning maps of Zanjan Province were prepared using Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) an...

Bayesian trend analysis for daily rainfall series of Barcelona

A Point-Over-Threshold approach using a reparameterization of the Generalized Pareto Distribution (GPD) has been used to assess changes in the daily rainfall Barcelona series (1854–2006). A Bayesian approach, considering the suitable scale and physical features of the phenomenon, has been used to look for these alterations. Two different models have been assessed: existence of abrupt changes in...
